Jay was raised outside of Columbia, South Carolina and is one of seven kids. Humor and story-telling ruled the household. Many nights were spent around the table trying to ‘top’ each other with wilder, crazier tales. Jay eventually found himself on the Stand-Up comedy stage where he had the opportunity to work with some of comedy’s best - Jeff Foxworthy, Carrot Top, Pauly Shore and many more. When the kids came along, Stand-Up was traded for Improv and a guest appearance on the Jerry Springer show. Eventually Jay surrendered the stage to concentrate on writing and being a stay-home dad. When his daughter Dakota was born, Jay wrote a weekly, slightly humorous, sentimental column called The Home Dad Chronicles. When JJ came along two and a half years later, he traded the column for novel writing. With five published novels and several more in the works Jay is hoping to expand his collection of books that range from Revenge Thrillers, to Murder Mysteries to Paranormal Thrillers and Science Fiction.

Jay currently lives near Clearwater Florida. Most weekends he can be found either on the disc golf links and stretched out on the beach, working up new plots of Madness, Mayhem and things that go BOOM!
